1. Brain & Heart Coherence
The HeartMath Institute is a non-profit organization that does some fascinating studies into the power of the human heart.
If you think that your heart is merely an organ that pumps blood through your body, then you are in for a pleasant surprise. The heart can ‘think’ and there are centers in the heart that share cells with the brain.
We all know intuitively that you feel with your heart and we see this all the time when people feel strong emotions, they reach for their heart.
The ideas behind brain and heart coherence have been written about extensively by teachers like Greg Braden and Joe Dispenza and the crux of it is that when you ‘marry’ the head and the heart you access your deepest levels of intuition.
Greg Braden calls the brain-heart coherence the ‘hotline to the subconscious’ and it explains very poignantly why so many people fail to create change in their life. They try and force change through the brain but the heart remains set in its ways.
Creating brain heart coherence allows you to access your deepest level of intuition and gives you direct access to the subconscious mind. It greatly reduces stress and allows you to bypass logic, doubt and many of the fears that control your life.

I learned this idea from Christie Marie Sheldon who is one of the most gifted energy healers on the planet today.
The practise of blessing yourself, your ideas and even your loved ones is incredibly powerful. The idea behind it flows from two important concepts.
Being blessed by a priest, the pope or a spiritual avatar has been around for centuries. When you are blessed, someone who lives at a higher consciousness quite literally moves energy to you. A blessing is not just words. It is an energy that you can ‘send’ to someone.
The second concept comes from Dr. Masaru Emoto who wrote The Hidden Messages in Water. In his experiments he would send different energies to bottles of water and study its effects on the water.
The results are startling and are a great visual representation of how the words we use have an energy and an effect.
Hate and anger resulted in ugly and fractured patterns in the frozen water while love, joy and peace resulted in beautiful, organized and crystalline structures.
Your body is made up of 60% water. From Dr. Masaru Emoto’s work we now know what a massive effect our thoughts have on water and since you are 60% water your words (and what you think about yourself) has a massive impact on you.

I use a more simplified version of Christie Marie Sheldon’s method and simply stand in front of the mirror every morning and every evening, look yourself in the eye and repeat:

Do this for 2 to 3 minutes without breaking eye contact with yourself. It might feel a bit weird at first but you will see dramatic shifts in your energy when you do this for just 2 weeks.
I must admit that this whole idea was very weird to me at first but I am open to anything and I would urge you to adopt this blessing practise.

3. Review Your Intentions
Our minds are designed to function through habits. We all have physical habits but more than anything we have mental habits. We have habitual ways of thinking about things.
This leads to habitual ways of feeling about things which leads to habitual ways of doing things. If you want to change anything you have to change these habits of thinking.
The law of attraction dictates that whatever we think and feel will be attracted into our lives. The reason why most people simply keep attracting the same things over and over again is because they never change the way they think.

4. Scripting and Journaling
Visualization has become a very popular topic in law of attraction discussions. Visualization is a powerful tool to help you manifest what you want most.
The challenge with visualization is that many people do not have a good practise to help them visualize effectively.
Trying to conjure up images in your mind while you are meditating or closing your eyes is almost impossible. It takes a lot of meditative practice and mastery to be able to do that.
The mind just drifts too easily and before you know it your mind has driften somewhere completely different from what you were trying to visualize.

Scripting is a journaling practise where you will journal your day as if what you want to manifest is already in your life. You quite literally write a script for how your life will play out.
Instead of trying to close your eyes and focus on some future ‘thing’ you are writing it. Your mind is actively engaged and your words create the pictures.
Scripting makes visualization fun and easy and if you have any hang-ups about being able to visualize then scripting will squash those hang-ups.
The key to making scripting work in your life is to really be present when you do it. You need to really project yourself into your future where everything you want is already there.
I find scripting to be a really fun process and journaling itself is a very healing and calming practise in itself.
If you have pictures or a vision board then you can have it with you when you do your scripting as that can help you focus better and more vividly – especially if your mind easily drifts off.
The idea of gratitude and having a daily gratitude practice has been harped on so much that I almost did not include it here. However, I still believe that gratitude is the main reason why I’ve been able to manifest virtually anything I place my intention on.
There is an understanding about the concept of gratitude that has clarified a lot of its power for me in recent years.
Most people are blinded by gratitude as a sort of ‘thank you’ practise similar to how we would be grateful to anyone who does something nice for us.
That is not gratitude.
Gratitude is an energy. When you are grateful you raise your vibration and in a state of gratitude you are open and receptive to receive.
Many people who do everything right with the law of attraction fail to manifest what they desire because they are never in a state of allowing. Getting into a state of allowing your heart and mind to be open and receptive and the best way to reach this state is through gratitude.
