The law of attraction weight loss secret is to place your energy and attention on what you DO want and not on what IS.

If you are overweight and most of your energy and attention is on being overweight on how to lose weight then the law of attraction will only bring more of that into your life.

Lately I’ve been reading a lot about the law of attraction and weight loss. To be perfectly honest, there is a lot of misleading information out there.

It seems like a lot of people are jumping on the law of attraction bandwagon without really understanding it – not to mention how they try and apply it to weight loss.

Not only have I been able to use the law of attraction to reach my own weight loss goals but I’ve been able to help dozens of friends and family members do the same.

It really is quite simple if you know how to truly apply the law of attraction to lose weight.

Using the law of attraction to attract money, of cars or even your dream job is slightly different because it is a “thing”. Attracting weight loss is not about the law of attraction magically removing the fat from your body.

It’s all about attracting everything you need to lose weight effortlessly.

What is even more important is correcting your thinking about yourself, your body and the food you eat.

The biggest mistake that almost everybody makes is that all their energy and attention is on “losing weight”.

If that is where all your energy and attention goes then the only thing you can attract more of is “losing weight”.

They are in a never ending cycle of diets and weight loss programs.

That is where their attention is and that is what they keep attracting.

By simply shifting all your energy and attention on to your ideal weight, how you would look and feel and placing ALL your energy on that, the law of attraction responds.

Diets, exercise and the hundreds of weight loss programs are all a MEANS TO AN END.

Law of attraction requires only one thing of you and that is to place all your energy and attention on the “END” and not on the means to the end.

It is a subtle difference and it may not sound that important but it truly is the one thing that will make the big change for you.

It can be hard though because we all feel like we want to “do something” about it. (read this article about letting go).

Then there are also all the emotions that are attached to the very idea of weight loss. These emotions offer a vibration that is usually not aligned with attraction the means and ends to losing weight.

Let’s apply the law of attraction to weight loss and look at some more detailed steps you can take.

The 3 Law of Attraction Weight Loss Steps

Step 1: Ask

Do you know what you really want? Do you have it written down? Or do you have some non-specific ideas like “I’d like to lose some weight”

The law of attraction is very specific. It does not judge and it does not interpret. You need to be very clear and very specific in what you want your body and your health to look like.

When you ask the universe, you immediately create a vibrational alignment to that what you ask for.

The law of attraction won’t make you think but what it would do is to put you in alignment with everything that will make losing weight easy.

Maybe you’ve just been doing the wrong things all your life because you’;ve been following what others have told you will make you lose weight.

The universe knows the fastest, most effective and most effortless way for YOU to lose weight. This could be very different to what works for everybody else. It is all about allowing the universe to guide.

You need to work really hard at gaining complete and utter clarity of what your ideal weight is. Fix this in your mind and do not let anything deter you under any circumstances. Write this down and set it in stone.

Ask the universe to guide you and make it clear that it is your intention to be at your ideal weight (and exactly what that is) for the rest of your life.

When you have a clear intention you are in vibrational alignment with the law of attraction and everything you need comes to you effortlessly.

Step 2: Believe

This is where most people get tripped up. We all have beliefs about our bodies – and most of these beliefs are incredibly limiting.

Beliefs are thoughts and knowing how the law of attraction works we can see why we tend to be stuck in certain places when it comes to weight loss. Having the same thoughts is actually what keeps us stuck and not being able to achieve our ideal weight.

You can get the best diet and have the best personal trainer but until and unless you change your beliefs about yourself and your weight, nothing will change. Even if you do manage to make some progress you will soon “snap back” to the place where your beliefs hold you.

A belief is a thought that you keep thinking so often that you don’t even question it anymore. It is a thought that was handed over to your subconscious mind and it has become your “truth”.

Changing limiting beliefs is not about trying to change the belief.

Try to not think of a pink elephant…you are thinking of a pink elephant, right?

You need to shift your thoughts away from the negative by thinking of the positive. Don’t try and do battle with the thoughts that make you overweight.

This is where affirmations, EFT and visualization come in. These three techniques are incredibly powerful in helping you overcome negative beliefs about your body and weight loss.

3 Techniques to help you change your beliefs about your body and weight loss:

1. Affirmations

I’m not going to go too deep into affirmations and how powerful it can be. For now, know that when you are truly present when using your affirmations it can change your beliefs over time.

Never use affirmations when it is just a meaningless repetition. Be fully present and involved when you speak, write or listen to your affirmations.

Pick 3 to 5 weight loss affirmations that truly have meaning to you and make them part of your life. You change your weight loss beliefs by letting these affirmations become your new reality.

Repeat them as often as you can in as many ways as you can.

It will take time but eventually it will work. In the end there is no real magic bullet technique for changing your beliefs.

2. Visualization

We’ve all heard a lot about it and you may even have your own vision board. Creating the image of your ideal self and having that image in the forefront of your mind is a powerful way to direct your life.

Visualization works.

Law of attraction will always bring to you what you are aligned with vibrationally. Every thought gives birth to some image in your mind.

These “images” are usually images of what you do not want.

With visualization you consciously choose a new future and a new destination for your life. You need to know yourself and what you respond to best. For some its about surrounding themselves with pictures of people who has the body they want.

For others its about surrounding themselves with people who are where they want to be. What is it that helps you create the image of your ideal body?

One great little trick I can share with you is this. Go out shopping and go and buy an outfit that you will only fit into when you are at your ideal weight.

Hang this outfit somewhere you will see it every day. Whenever you see it, imagine yourself wearing it and fitting into it easily and looking amazing.

3. EFT

The Emotional Freedom Technique is a technique designed to help you overcome limiting beliefs.

This is more commonly known as “Tapping” and what it does is to use the meridian points on your body to help you release the negative energy associated with certain beliefs.

There is another aspect to beliefs and weight loss that we need to discuss as this relates directly to the law of attraction.

Self image and your beliefs about yourself and your weight are all really important but there is something far more important.

What is far more important is how your beliefs dictate how your body responds to food. The relationship between your mind and your body is much more powerful than you could ever imagine.

Dr. Joe Dispenza is at the forefront of this revolution in thinking. What it boils down to is that your mind is what controls your weight. It is your mind that controls your genes, how your body deals with food and how your body stores fat.

We all know people who seem to be able to eat almost anything and they never get fat?

How is that possible? Are they just “lucky” or do they have the belief that they are slim and their body responds according to their beliefs?

Step 3: Receive

Receiving is the final step in the law of attraction process. The way this applies to the law of attraction is that you have to be open to allow the “means” to come to you.

You will attract everything you need to lose weight effortlessly, but you have to let go and allow.

This means that you do not try and figure things out. You do not try and do things that you hate only because you think it will make you lose weight.

No.

You will attract everything you need and it will most likely be very different to everything and anything you’ve done before.

You will recognize these things as they pop into your life – seemingly out of nowhere. You will be prompted to take action – not because you feel like you have to but because you feel inspired. It will feel light and effortless.

Your job in the receiving step of the law of attraction is to feel good.

It is as simple as that. I know of very few people who truly love fad diets. Those who are at their ideal weight love the food they eat. They love the exercise they do.

It is never a chore and it is never something they hate doing. That might work for a short time but it never lasts.

There are a lot of practical steps and tips that can help you lose weight but ;let me remind you what Lao Tzu said more than 6000 years ago: when you correct your mind, everything falls in place.

Don’t let your focus drift onto the “things” you could do to lose weight.

Rely heavily upon your mind and your thinking because once you set the law of attraction in motion everything changes for you.

The first step is to gain absolute clarity on exactly what you want.

What is your ideal weight?

How do you want to look and feel?

Fix this in your mind and create an image of exactly how that would look like.

Next, you need to work really hard on your beliefs. Use affirmations and visualization to help you overcome old limiting beliefs about your weight.
