The 12 Universal Laws of The Universe

Universal Laws of The Universe, 12 universal laws

The 12 universal laws of the universe helps us understand why and how things happen. We live in an ordered universe. There are no “accidents”.

If you consider the perfect order by which everything is synchronized on a cosmic level it leaves you awe.

When you look at the season, the migration of animals, how rain is formed, how a plant grows…there just too many things that just seem to happen almost miraculously.

As we move closer to our own lives we tend to lose sight of the perfections. We have the unique perspective of judgement. As human beings we have the tendency to call certain events, circumstances or outcomes by names like accident, coincidence, mistake ec.

Everything in the universe is dictated by law. Everything in your life is dictated by law. The challenge is that because we can not see these laws we tend to think that things happen randomly.

Understanding The Universal Laws

Science uses laws to explain certain phenomena. The laws of gravity helps us understand and calculate with exact precision how objects are attracted to the earth.

The laws of electromagnetism allows scientists to calculate with exact precision how electricity behaves. There are numerous scientific laws that usually come with mathematical formulas that allow us to “predict” certain phenomena with exact precision.

There are a lot of natural phenomena that remain unexplained – at least from a scientific and mathematical perspective. Just because it can not yet be explained scientifically or mathematically does not mean it is any less valid.

The 12 universal laws I want to discuss here are laws of the universe that dictate most of the things that happen in our lives.

A lot of the events and circumstances in your life that you tend to think is just random, coincidence or luck are in fact dictated by laws.

There are no accidents and nothing is random in this perfectly orchestrated universe. Religions tend to assign God’s random judgements to many events and circumstances in life that can not be explained clearly.

Centuries of philosophy however laid the groundwork for what is known as the “new science” and metaphysics has a rich history of documenting the laws of the universe.

We can not see electricity. We can not see the wind. You can not see a magnetic field and you can not see a particle.

Does that mean it does not exist?

No.

While we can not see these energies we know that they exist because we can see and use its effects.

In the end everything is energy.

What these 12 universal laws of the universe will lay bare is why and how energy behaves. This will allow us to better take charge of our lives.

It allows us to deliberately create our lives instead of just being a victim to circumstances and events that is the doing of our unconscious patterns of thinking and doing.

The 12 Universal Laws of The Universe

Laws of The Universe

There are 12 universal laws of the universe. These laws are always at work – always affecting, dictating and controlling your life and everything in the universe.

These laws are quietly ‘playing’ in the background. Most people are not aware of them but they are ‘real’ and they form the very foundation for what exists in our universe.

Understanding the universal laws and just being aware of them will help you understand your life and everything in it in greater depth. These universal laws are:

  1. The Law of Vibration
  2. The Law of Unity
  3. The Law of Action and Reaction
  4. The Law of Correspondence
  5. The Law of Cause and Effect
  6. The Law of Compensation
  7. The Law of Attraction
  8. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
  9. The Law of Relativity
  10. The Law of Polarity
  11. The Law of Rhythm
  12. The Law of Gender

1. The Law of Vibration

The law of vibration is one of the most powerful understanding when it comes to manifesting. The law of vibration dictates that everything in the universe is vibrating at a certain frequency.

Everything that appears to be a solid objects is actually just particles at different rates of vibration. You are also a mass of energy – at a very high rate of vibration. Your thoughts are also energy and the content of your thoughts dictate what vibration you are in.

Energy that vibrates at a certain frequency will attract like energies that vibrate at that frequency.

A simple example is that if you are feeling really happy, you will attract more of it. You will attract people and events that match up to your vibration of happiness.

2. The Law of Unity

At the highest level of consciousness, we are all one. We are all intricately connected in this universe. As a humanity it is not hard to see how we are all connected and how we are ultimately “one”.

Everyone and everything is interconnected. No one and no thing can exist in isolation in this universe.

This also extends further because we are so intricately connected with our environment that we can not be separate from it – ever!

3. The Law of Action and Reaction

For every action there is a reaction. This law draws from the laws of gravity and it indicates that there can be no movement without some action.

When you relate this to your life, you can not create anything without some level of action. The results in your life flows from the actions (or inactions) of your life.

The Butterfly Effect explains this divine unity very well. This effect says that every small action has a ripple, effect that affects everything. When a butterfly flaps its wings it may seem like a small and insignificant action but it has a ripple effect that amplifies and can have a huge impact eventually.

4. The Law of Correspondence

The law of correspondence dicates that whether what is going on in your inside world will be a direct reflection of what goes on in your outside world.

There is a famous quote from the Emerald tablets that says “As above, so below”. This refers directly to this idea that your inner world is reflected in your outer world.

This idea is also beautifully said out by James Allen in his book As a Man Thinketh.

Circumstances do not make the man, they reveal him.

– James Allen

This law is very practical in its application. It means you can look at any aspect of your life and what you see will be a reflection of how you think and feel about it.

This also means that you can change anything by changing the way you think and feel about it.

5. The Law of Cause and Effect

The law of cause and effect dictates that for every “effect” in your life there is a cause. We so often look at things that happen in our lives and think that its just luck or random events.

This law makes it clear that there is always a cause. It may not be obvious but there are no random events.

From a different perspective you can also use this law to create your life. You know that everything you do will have an effect. Every positive action with a positive intent will have a positive outcome.

The flipside is that negative things that show up in your life is the result of negative thoughts and/or actions.

6. The Law of Compensation

The law of compensation dicates that you will receive what you put out. There is a cosmic compensation for everything you put out.

Plainly stated, you will reap what you sow.

This is very evident when it comes to work and careers. Hard work always pays off in the end because of the consistent energy you put into something.

This law of compensation is also true for everything else in life. The concept of Karma is also relevant here as it explains that everything you put out will eventually return in some way.

He who would accomplish little must sacrifice little; he who would achieve much must sacrifice much; he who would attain highly must sacrifice greatly.

James Allen

This is why you need not worry about those who seem to get lucky or who are unethical or who treat others badly.

7. The Law of Attraction

Much has been written about the law of attraction in recent years and the movie The Secret has done much to bring this message to everyone.

The law of attraction in short dictates that whatever you place your energy and your attention on will be attracted into your life.

At any given moment of your life, you are having thoughts. Most of the thoughts you have are subconscious and it is these habitual thoughts that often cause us to keep attracting the same things into our lives.

By deliberately choosing new thoughts, focusing on them and adding empowering emotions to them we can start to completely transform our lives. All through the power of thinking.

8. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy

In this universe everything is energy and energy is everything. On a scientific level we know that energy can not be created or destroyed. It can only be transmutated from one “state” to another.

The law of perpetual transmutation of energy states that everything is in a constant state of moving and changing. There is a never ending flux of energy and everything is constantly moving and evolving.

If you consider everything in your life as energy then you know that this energy can be changed.

As human beings we have the ability to choose what we place our energy and attention on and this is how we can consciously change the energy in our lives.

9. The Law of Relativity

The law of relativity states that nothing exists in isolation. Everything is always relative to something else. Big has no meaning unless it is seen relative to something that is small.

Everything you have and experience in your life is always relative to something else. Happiness can not exist without sadness. If you’ve never experienced sadness then you will not even know the concept of happiness.

What we can learn and use from this law is to embrace the conditions that we often perceive as the opposite that we want to experience. Know that it is really just the other side of the same coin.

10. The Law of Polarity

The law of polarity states that everything has an opposite. Up can not exist without down. Happy can not exist without sad. The law of polarity relates closely to the law of relativity.

The law of polarity helps us understand that everything has an opposite side. When you are sad and depressed you need not be stuck there because you know that its opposite has to exist.

If you are broke and struggling financially you can now that there are millions of millionaires who are thriving. You do not need to be stuck in poverty. The opposite always exists and you can attract that into your experience too.

11. The Law of Rhythm

This law dictates that there is a natural rhythm to life. We see it every year with the 4 seasons. Likewise there is a rhythm to life itself.

Some life forms live for 1 day, while others live to 20 or 60 years.

This idea is also reflected in the famous Yin Yang symbol. It serves as a reminder that during “bad” times we can have hope in the fact that good times are on their way. During “good” times, it serves as a reminder to prepare and to get ready.

If you are going through the winter of your life, stay strong and find the joy in that particular season. Summer is always on its way.

12. The Law of Gender

The law of gender does not really refer to the concepts of man or woman. This law rather dictates that there is a masculaine energy and a feminine energy in everything.

Everybody has both msculaine and feminine energies. People express this in different ways which is why are more msculine or femine than others.

Masculine energy is all about strength, problem solving and logic. Feminine energy is intuitive, emotional and creative.

Society has a lot of expectations about who should be what. Embracing femenine energy does not make you “feminine” in the sense of looking or talking like a woman.

Embracing both energies will help you be happier and lead a more fulfilling life.

Using The 12 Universal Laws of The Universe In Your Life

Having an awareness of these twelve universal laws can be very useful in your everyday life. Having a deeper understanding of “why” things happen can solve a lot of the inner conflicts you may have.

So often we feel helpless and we feel like we are not in control of life at all. Hopefully these universal laws will give you some level of understanding as to “why” and most importantly encourage you to correct your thinking.

In the end everything is energy and energy is everything.
