The 9 Spiritual Signs You’re On The Right Path

spiritual signs you're on the right path

The spiritual signs you’re on the right path are when your ego starts to diminish, synchronicities start showing up and when you are experiencing bliss and inner peace.

Having inspiration during sleep and/or meditation and having the right teachers who up at the perfect time are also spiritual signs you’re on the right path.

While it may appear that your life is a physical experience from day to day, the reality is that your real journey through life is a spiritual one.

The body is constantly changing. The mind is constantly evolving.

The soul is what remains consistent – silently aware of your true purpose here and its ultimate goal with this ‘round trip’ that you call your life.

The Right Path and The Wrong Path

If you are looking for signs from the universe that you are on the right path then you might spend your lifetime looking without ever finding it.

There is no such thing as a right or a wrong path.

Right and wrong are simply judgements that you assign to the outcome of certain decisions. Have you ever had something terrible happen to you only to look back at it five years later and realise that it was the greatest blessing of your life?

We hear this all the time from people who get a diagnosis, who have an accident, who lose a job. When this happen, most people break down and immediately think that this is not supposed to happen.

The reason why we think like that is that we have preconceived ideas of how life is supposed to go. We have preconceived ideas about how our manifestations “should” happen.

If you have an intention to manifest something and everything is happening the way you think it should for that to manifest, then you are doing it wrong.

Creative intelligence works in ways you can not predict.

When you work with the law of attraction, then what you want to manifest ALWAYS comes in ways that you could never have imagined.

There are always stepping stones that lead you towards your dreams and desires. If some of these stepping stones come in the form of an accident or a diagnosis then that does not necessarily make it good or bad; right or wrong.

So, what is the right path then?

The right path is simply the fastest, most joyful, and the most harmonious way for you to manifest what you desire.

If this becomes your focus and you set aside all the pathways that your mind has figures out, then and only then can you truly get on the right path and allow the universe to truly guide you and show you the way.

The 9 Spiritual Signs You’re On The Right Path

1. Your Ego Diminishes

Your ego is your idea of yourself. The go demands to be the most important. It always wants to win, it always wants to be more than, better than and smarter than anyone and everyone else.

The ego cares very little for the needs of others and tends to turn a blind eye to the needs of others.

One of the spiritual signs you’re on the right path is that your ego starts to diminish. Success, achievement and winning becomes less important.

You may still have a lot of that in your life but it does not become the main driver of your life.

Inner peace, purpose and joy start to become more important than outer success, achievement and being ‘the best’.

2. Synchronicities

Deepak Chopra once described synchronicity as ‘anonymous gifts from God’. These seemingly random events that somehow speak to us on a deeper level is what Carl Jung called synchronicity.

Synchronicities are some of the most obvious spiritual signs you’re on the right path.

It can be anything from seeing repeating numbers like 1111, a chance encounter with someone, a phone call etc.

When these seemingly random things happen your intuition will alert you that it is meaningful and that it somehow is trying to tell you something.

When synchronicities happen that align with your path you know that it is there to offer guidance.

3. Everything You Need Shows Up At The Perfect Time

The old saying that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear is more than just a cliche. It is absolutely true and it is also one of the spiritual signs you’re on the right path.

When you are on the right path the teachers will show up.

These ‘teachers’ can take on many forms.

It can be a person. It can be a book. It can also be a cancer diagnosis, an accident or even a soulmate showing up.

Your job is not to judge the teacher but to take the lesson. Your job is to get on your own path and trust that everything you need to guide you will show up.

When the teachers show up, pay attention.

4. You Experience Bliss and Inner Peace

When you are on the right path you experience bliss and inner peace. Far too many people become ‘successful’ and their lives become one of consistent stress, fear and worry.

That should never be the goal.

What your soul longs for is that bliss and sense of inner peace.

This can only come from being on ‘the right path’ which is your soul’s journey. There is a recognition deep inside of you when you are on this path.

Your soul recognizes this path and once you are on it you experience bliss and inner peace as a spiritual sign you’re on the right path.

5. Personal Crises

When ‘everything goes wrong’ we often throw our hand in the air and get all crazy about how things are not working out.

When things ‘go wrong’ there is always something in there that is going right.

Those who rise above adversity are those who maintain a spiritual perspective and who can see the lessons of what appears to be a crisis.

Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.

– Joseph Campbell

When everything is always easy and always going ‘right’ there is no resistance that is needed to grow. There is no direction and there is no impetus for change.

6. You Feel Guided and Inspired

The word ‘inspiration’ is derived from being ‘In Spirit’ and when you feel inspired you quite literally are in direct connection with your Higher Self.

Inspiration is one of the most joyful spiritual signs you’re on the right path. You will know when you feel inspired.

Pay attention to these moments of inspiration.

They come to you when you are connected to your purpose. Your inspiration can guide you and direct you to find what brings your soul joy and gives your life a sense of meaning and purpose.

When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all of your thoughts break their bonds. Your mind transcends limitations; your consciousness expands in every direction; and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. – Patanjali

7. Dreams And Meditation Guide You

When you’re on the right path your life changes. This change is almost always an inner change.

Most people wait for external changes but what they really want is the internal change that the external change will bring about.

Meditation is a really important part of being on a spiritual journey. When you quiet your mind you can make closer contact with your Higher Self.

During meditation things will come to you. For me, it usually comes in those hours shortly after meditation.

Ideas.

Inspirations.

Guidance.

Synchronicities.

This also happens during sleep and our dreams often offer guidance and insight similar to what you experience during meditation.

Pay attention! They offer spiritual signs you’re on the right path.

8. Being At Peace With Your Past

One of the great spiritual signs you’re on the right path is when you become at peace with your past.

Understanding that everything has lead you to this perfect moment is indeed a divine realization.

Your p[ast can be like a big ball and chain that make progress difficult, painful and often impossible. When you can let go of your past you can be at peace with it and move forward unimpeded.

Once you reach a point where you can truly forgive anyone and everyone in your life (including yourself) it can be incredibly freeing.

When you get on the right path on your spiritual journey you understand that the past is simply that – the past. You understand at a deeper spiritual level that letting go is akin to letting God.

9. The Desire To Serve Others

People who live primarily from their ego are obsessed with themselves. When you make the spiritual shift and get on this spiritual path of self actualization there is a shift.

The shift from ‘me’ to ‘us’ is one of the great spiritual signs you’re on the right path.

One of the great lessons I learned early in my life is that you can never sincerely help anyone without helping yourself.

When you start to experience the desire to help others, to serve others with your unique skills, talents and abilities then your life moves into a new realm of possibility.

This desire to serve others comes from deep within you.

It is not about generosity or about giving your time or money to something worthy.

It is well beyond that. It is a deep understanding that you have something inside you that is meant to be shared in service of humanity.

Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezoz, Elon Musk, Mother Theresa – these are all people who had that deep inner calling to share what they have inside them in service of humanity.

Being On The Right Path Spiritually

Being on the right path is almost always the road less taken. The path that is worn out, perfectly paved and signposted is usually the path that everyone takes.

This path is often disguised as ‘the right path’. This path is very appealing to the sense, to your logic and to your well meaning friends and family.

There is another path.

It often does not look like a path at all. There are very few sign posts and most people avoid it at all costs. It looks unsafe. It looks scary – yet, some part of you find this path irresistible.

Not because you want to rebel but because you feel drawn to it on a deeper level.

The only right path is YOUR path. The path that you have chosen.

Most people tiptoe their way through life hoping they will make it safely to death. – Earl Nightingale

The path is the purpose.

The journey is the goal.

Don’t be blinded by the destination!
