10 Examples Of Positive Core Beliefs To Live By

examples of positive core beliefs

Some of examples of positive core beliefs are that life is happening for you, that you create your life and that the world is a beautiful place full of compassionate people.

Having positive core belief is more than just a modern day catch phrase.

We see these types of ideas posted on Facebook daily and the danger is that we become numb to the value it can have in our lives.

Your core beliefs are what drives most if your thoughts and feelings.

They are in fact the ‘operating system’ that runs your computer – that which you refer to as your mind.

A lot has been written about analyzing your core beliefs and how you can change them.

In this brief discussion I will focus on some examples of positive core beliefs that I believe will have the greatest impact on your life.

But, first we need to understand…

What Are Core Beliefs Anyway

Core beliefs are ingrained ideas that not only inform but also create our entire experience of life.

Beliefs in general are thoughts that we think so often that we no longer have to consciously think about them or evaluate them.

Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.

– Mahatma Gandhi

They become part of our ‘automatic’ or subconscious behaviour.

Your core beliefs refer to thise beliefs that control and dictate your entire life experience.

There are 3 types of core beliefs:

  • beliefs about yourself
  • beliefs about other people
  • beliefs about the world

The reality of life is that nothing has any meaning except the meaning YOU give it. People, events and circumstances simply ARE.

It is your beliefs – and more specifically your core beliefs that assign value and meaning to it.

When you understand this fact then it becomes quite apparent just how important core beliefs are.

You are not one person, but three: The one you think you are; The one others think you are; The one you really are.

– Sai Baba

The great irony is that most of your core beliefs where integrated and formed without you even being aware of it.

As children we ‘absorb’ what we see, feel and experience and our minds form these beliefs based on our experience of life at a time when we can’t conscoiously think or decide what is ‘best’ for us.

Why Positive Core Beliefs Matter So Much

Core beliefs are important because they act as the silent commander that directs and controls your life. Not being aware of what guides and directs your life is ignorance.

Becoming aware of your negative core beliefs and adopting positive core beliefs as ‘replacements’ are some of the most fundamental improvements you can make in your own life.

There are essentially 3 things that your core beliefs do for you:

1. They Give Your Life Meaning

Nothing has any meaning except for the meaning you give it. You may not give it meaning conscoiously.

Your core beliefs act as a filter thorough which every single event or thought gets ‘assigned’ a meaning based on your beliefs.

At any given moment in time your brain is traying to figure out what everything means. Its part of your built-in survival mechanism.

Meaning also makes us human. We have an intrinsic desire to understand our environment, the people around us and our own thoughts.

We have a built-in desire to decipher the meaning of everything in our lives and it is your core beliefs that inform every single meaning that you assign to something in your life.

This desire for meaning also forms the basis and starting point of everything we do or fail to do in life.

Your actions are informed by your core beliefs. The examples of positive core beliefs that I cover below aim to help you develop core beliefs that hands you back your power to create your life.

2. They Determine How You Think And Feel

The way you think and feel is an ever evolving, ever present activity of the mind that fuels your life.

You can never truly empty your mind and be free from thought.

Your thoughts and feelings are also intricately connected and how you think and feel determines your decisions and ultimately your actions.

If you you have negative core beliefs then your thoughts and feelings will most likely be negative regardless of what ‘good’ is happening around you.

The examples of positive core beliefs below are designed to help you change the way you think and feel.

At any given moment in time, you can see the world as a sh*thole, full of dishonest, vengeful and deceioptful people OR you can see the world as the most beautiful place full of loving, generous and compassionate people.

It is your choice – to some extent.

Its your choice to the point where you can consciously choose what you perceive but for the most part your core beliefs will inform WHAT you see and consequently what you experience.

3. They Manifest

This is incredibly fascinating. We see it so often how different generations of the same family keep ‘recreating’ the same patterns.

Welfare recipients are mostly second, third or even foth generation welfare recipients. While there are many factors at play the overarching factor is that core beliefs are handed down from one generation to the next.

These beliefs are what end up manifesting. The law of attraction makes it abundantly clear that the way you think and feel about anything is what you will attract more of into your life.

You can never attract something that you are not a vibrational match to.

Our core beliefs are at the very heart of what we manifest or fail to manifest.

Consciously you may want to attract and manifest something different than what you have, but your core beliefs act as a filter through which you see and experience everything.

Because of this you think and feel a certain way about something and that in return creates more of the same through the working of the law of attraction.

Your core beliefs is what gives birth to all your ‘automatic thoughts and feelings’ – that which you think instinctively and these are the thoughts that tend to manifest all the time.

Changing your core beliefs therefore is at the root of changing EVERYTHING in your life.

The examples of positive core beliefs below is a great start to help you open up your mind to new ideas and new possibilities.

10 Examples Of Positive Core Beliefs

Below are 10 examples of positive core beliefs you can start to adopt into your own life to see significant changes happen almost immediately.

There is this powerful idea that: when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at changes.

When you change your core beliefs you change the filter through which you perceive reality.

That is the only change you really need to make in your life.

Everything else flows from that.

Here are 10 examples of positive core beliefs

1. I Am Loved

This is huge because most people simply do not love themselves. We grow up being taught that love is conditional and that we need to be, do or have X, Y or Z in order to be loved.

Understand the great truth that you are a Divine Being and that your Source (or God) loves you.

The proof of this is the fact that there is an infinite well of love within you. Are there any limits to how much love you can GIVE away?

Focus on giving away as much love as you can and you will start expetriencing this core belief that you are loved.

2. Life Happens FOR Me

If you believe that life is somehow against you, that you have bad luck or that you are a victim in some way then you will struggle your way through life in suffering.

Life simply happens.

You and only you get to decide what things mean.

When you start having a more enlightened approach to life you can start to see that EVERYTHING is really there to help and guide you.

Sometimes the worse experiences are the greatest teachers. In fact, in my own life I can attest to this fact that the toughest times were the greatest blessings.

When you believe that life is happening FOR you and not TO you then youchange your perception of everything.

It can be one of the most empowering core beliefs you can ever adopt.

3. I Am Divine Guided In All My Ways

You are a spiritual being having a human experience. You come from a Divine source and you will return to that when you leave your body.

There is a part of you that never ages, that’s been ‘inside’ your body from the day you where born.

That Divine Spark is who you really are.

That Divine Spark is your eternal connection to Divinity.

You have Divine guidance available to you at all times. You have access to this Divine guidance but you have to consciously choose it an allow your Guides to intervene in your life.

Doloris Cannon said that before we enter this life we are all assigned at least 1 Guide (or Angel) to help us go through this life.

You are never alone.

If you knew who walks beside you on this path that you have chosen. Fear would be impossible. – From A Course In Miracles

When you have this core belief and you know that you are never alone then life’s journey becomes more joyful, less stressful and much more meaningful.

4. I Live In An Abundant Universe

In our westernb capitalis society we are consumed with the idea of having more. What this really has done is to breed fear and create a sense of scarcity.

The truth is that we live in an abundant universe.

There is only abundance.

When you experience scarcity or lack then you are simply disconnected from the abundance that is cosntaly flowing.

People who have the core belief that they live in an abundant universe always have more than enough.

This belief is what opens their eyes, their hearts and their minds to abundance. It is the core belief that opens the door to prosperity.

People who live in scarcity have a core belief that there is never enough, that they are only entitled to a small slither of what’s out there and that they have to struggle to get just a little bit.

You live in an abundant universe. You are entitled to it all.

5. The World Is a Friendly Place Filled With Love and Compassion

When you are tuned into the news then its easy to start seeing how the world is a terrible place, how humankind is destroying everything and how its all going down the drain.

Most people’s belief about how terrible life and the world is comes from mainstream news.

This negative core belief is mostly responsible for all the bad stuff we see in the world. It creates a collective consciousness around those destructuive ideas.

When you adopt the core belief that the world is a beautiful place filled with love, joy and compassion then (and only then) can you truly start to see all the good in the world.

My reality is that life is beautiful. People are amazing, filled with love and that joy is everywhere.

That is a positive core belief that drives me to see life in a certain way and to firmly oppose any and all ideas to the contrary to not be allowed into my life.

6. I Am Here To Serve

Life is not about getting. Life is about giving. This seismic shift in thinking may take a lot of inner work.

We tend to grow up thinking and believing that life is a competition and that the goal is to win.

The goal is not win or to have ‘more than’ or be ‘better than’.

You are here to give of yourself. You are here to share what you are, to bring your uniqueness to this world and to share it freely and joyously.

Every single person who has ever had major success did exactly that.

Stop doing things because you expect a return. Do it for the sake of giving, sharing, helping and contributing.

When you have this core belief that you are here to serve in some way then your mind shifts from getting to giving and that in itself will transform your life.

7. I Can Be Do And Have Anything

We hear this a lot. Its often a motivational ‘pump up’ that tends to inspire us for a few minutes before reality sets in.

The fact that you can be, do and have anything has been seen in so many examples of rags-to-riches stories.

Intellectually we all know that there is truth in that belief. The problem is to make that belief our own.

If your core belief is that you can’t, that you are not worthy or that you are not good enough then you will battle yourself forever.

It may take time but adopting the positive core belief that you can be, do and have everything is incredibly powerful.

As you adopt this belief you will start to see it play out in your life and this alpine will inspire and motivate you.

8. I Am The Creator Of My Reality

Much of this entire blog is dedicated to the idea that you are the creator of your reality.

The universal law of attraction is constantly at work.

Everything in your life is attracted into your life through your vibration.

Most people believe that what they have, what they attract and what they fail to get are the result of some Divine plan or random events.

When you open your eyes to the reality and the true nature of the universe you can start to see how your thoughts and feelings impact what you create in your life.

This is an incredibly powerful positive core belief because it free you from the delusion that you are a pawn and that you have no real power over your own life experience.

9. All That I Have Is All That I Need

The resources you need to deal with any challenge, overcome every obstacle and to achieve anything is already within you.

As long as you believe that you do not have what it takes, you simply can not access your higher faculties and you can not access your innermost power.

I believe that nothing can come into my life or be attracted into my life without me ALREADY having everything I need to deal with it.

This belief removes almost all the fears we have.

Most people do not fear failure.

They fear success because deep down they fear that they do not have what it takes to deal with it.

Stop looking outside yourself fro answers and solutions that can only be found inside.

When you have the core belief that you already have everything you need then you gain access to your dormant forces and faculties.

10. My Body Is My Temple (I Am Not My Body)

You are not your body. Your body is simply a shell that houses your soul. Your body is temporary, fragile and is not who you are.

Never identify yourself by (or though) your body because it is simply not who you are.

So many young people have the negative core belief that they are what they wear, how they look and what they do with their bodies.

This is a very superficial way of looking at life.

While your body is ‘only’ a vehicle it is a very important one as such.

When you develop the positive core belief that your body is a temple that houses something of great value (your Soul) then you will start to treat your body correctly.

With respect. With dignity and with great love an care.

Without your body you can not be here. Without your health you can not truly live your life. Without vibrant energy and vitality you can not fulfill your purpose.

How To Adopt and ‘Install’ These Positive Core Beliefs

The great thing about core beliefs is that they don’t have to be true.

All your beliefs are ‘lies’ anyway.

They are simply ideas that you have adopted and made your own – mostly without even knowing you are forming them as core beliefs.

Most of your core beliefs are adopted.

They are NOT your own.

They come from your parents, from life experiences or certain given circumstances.

Thise are things you can’t change. Most people assume that they are what they are but in reality you are your core beliefs.

It is what defines you.

If your ideas about yourself, life and people come from what your parents unconsciously ‘taught you’ then you can start to see that even that was simply what they where taught.

You can use the above examples of positive core beliefs to start ‘creating’ who you want to be. Your core beliefs form the foundation upon which everything in your life is built.

You can’t escape from a prison until you recognize you are in one. People who have chosen to live within the limits of their old beliefs continue to have the same experiences. It takes effort and commitment to break old patterns. Becoming aware of your own core beliefs in itself can be powerful. You can not change what you are not aware of.

– Bob Proctor

Consciously choosing new core beliefs starts with you making the decision and choosing what you want to belief.

You then have to do the ‘hard work’ and deliberately practise these new beliefs. Remind yourself about them often.

Write them in your journal daily.

Use affirmations.

Meditate on it.

Use EFT.

Do wherever you can because in the end this is the foundation of changing your thoughts.

When you change your thoughts, you change your life.
