Ask the universe for love is the same process you ask the universe for anything else. This asking is not so much a verbal communication but rather a vibrational communication. Your thoughts and your feelings create a vibration which is commonly known as “vibes” and we all have a very good sense of someone else’s vibes. We tend to be less skilled in assessing and controlling our own vibes though. When you have an intention to attract love and romance then your thoughts and feelings emit a certain frequency. This intention is the real communication with the universe and works directly with the law of attraction. Asking for something with words is often just lip service. There is no real intent behind it. You have to go well beyond just wanting love and romance to really attract it into your life. When you have a strong intention and you get very clear on exactly what you want in a relationship and all the qualities you want in your ideal partner then you can start gaining clarity. Most people are so fixated on what they don’t want or are blinded by limiting beliefs and they simply can not receive love because of it. How Do You Ask The Universe For True Love? What is true love and what does that mean to you? There are a lot of romantic ideas about true love and throughout the ages it has been the subject of most of humankind’s best and worst acts. I believe that we ultimately want to be loved unconditionally. We all want someone to love us completely without judgement and with a total disregard of all our flaws and baggage. You want to know that you will be loved regardless of how you look, what you have and what you do (or don’t do). This is the kind of love that resemblesDivine love and it is your source. We all come from this source of love and it is something that we bring into this life and that we long for. The way you ask the universe for true love is the same way you ask the universe for anything. It is not so much through words but through your intention, your thoughts and your consciousness. When you place your energy and your attention on the idea of true love, you effectively communicate with the universe. The universe does not respond to your verbal requests but rather to your energetic requests. Where your attention goes your energy flows. When your attention is on true love, your dream partner and your ultimate relationship then your energy flows to these ideas. This energy is what creates your intention and is how you “ask” the universe for true love. Know Exactly What You Want When it comes to love and relationships most people seem to know exactly what they don’t want. When it comes to what they DO want, they seem to be completely stumped. Do you know exactly what you are looking for in a partner? Do you know exactly what you are looking for in a relationship? One of the most powerful exercises you can do is to sit down and start writing out everything that you DO want in a partner and in a relationship. Keep writing until you have filled at least two to three pages. You need to get beyond the superficial ideas and get to the really important stuff which is qualities, characteristics and experiences. You can only get there if you really sit down and dig deep. This does not mean that looks and outer appearances are not important but the inner stuff is much more important because that is the level on which attraction happens. Keep refining this list, keep reading it and keep looking at it. You need to build these ideas of what you want into your mind and ingrain it into your subconscious mind. Over time the most important points on your list will stick and because you are thinking about these ideas over and over again you will invoke the law of attraction. 2. Stop Focussing On What You Don’t Want Learning how to ask the universe for love is in large about learning how to stop asking for what you don’t want. Most people are so fixated on what they don’t want that they keep attracting what they don’t want. If your thoughts are on what you don’t want then that is what you will keep attracting. You need to set aside what you don’t want and ONLY focus on what you DO want. Qualifying a statement with a negative does not register in your subconscious mind.If you say “I don’t want to be fat”, then your subconscious mind only registers “I want to be fat”. This explains why some people keep attracting the same kinds of people/losers. It is because you keep thinking about what you don’t want and through the law of attraction you keep attracting that which you place your energy and your attention on. This may seem like a subtle difference but it is not. There is a massive difference between focusing on what you Do want and focusing on what you don’t want. Use what you don’t want for contrast and to help you gain clarity for what you do want but never allow it to dominate your thoughts. Focusing on everything you don’t want in a partner or in a relationship is like asking the universe for what you don’t want. 3. Remove The Blinkers People who are single and who have been single for some time despite wanting to attract love usually have blinkers on. These blinkers are beliefs that determine what you see and what you don't see. Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. - Rumi Science tells us that we do not see WITH our eyes but we see THROUGH our eyes. It is your mind that does the real seeing and what you see or don’t see relies mostly on your beliefs. Here are some common beliefs about love that act as blinkers: all the good ones are already takenAll men are… OR all women are…I am broken. Nobody would want meI am not smart enough/pretty enough/rich enough etc.I am too fat/thin/tall/short etc. There are dozens more and the worse part is that you have many of these that you use subconsciously to justify why you are (still) single. The first and most important step to become conscious of these limiting beliefs as they are the very thing that is blocking you from even seeing the possibilities and being open and receptive to the right person. 4. Focus on Giving Why do you want true love in your life? Is it because you feel a certain emptiness; a longing to have a fuller and richer experience of life? There is a very subtle but very important distinction when you want to attract love into your life. Most people who want to attract their soulmate want to do so because they want to GET love that they feel they don’t have. A lot of the oideas around love in our culture encourages this. We talk about our “other half” and the main focus in relationships is in getting and receiving love. You are whole and complete as you are. If you need another half to be complete then you are in trouble. The result is usually that two half people come together and now you have one broken relationship made up of two broken halves. If you bring two FULL people together you don’t have the neediness that characterizes so many bad relationships. Ultimately, your goal in a relationship should not be about what you can GET but rather what you can give. The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in. - Morrie Schwartz Getting is nice but giving is joyful and fulfilling. Think about when someone gives you a gift. It's usually nice but compare that to the feeling when you give someone a gift they love. That feeling of giving is much more potent than the receiving. When you shift your focus from what can I get from finding love to what can I give your entire focus shifts. This is one of the great understandings in how to ask the universe for love because you ultimately ask with your intention. 5. BE The Person You Want To Attract One of the deeper teachings of the law of attraction is that you do not attract what you want but you attract what you ARE. What you are has nothing to do with how you look, your personality or the job you do. What you really are on a daily basis is the sum total of your thoughts, your attitude and your mindset. Our life is what our thoughts make it. A man will find that as he alters his thoughts toward things and other people, things and other people will alter towards him. - James Allen What goes on inside you is what you really are and that will be your own experience of yourself and it largely dictates how you experience the world you live in. If your thoughts are filled with anger, resentment, self pity or hatred then that will colour your entire experience of life. If these are your dominant thoughts then that will also determine the people and experiences that you attract into your life. You can’t give away what you don’t have. Love is not something you get from outside you but it is an energy that you create within yourself. We all have an endless supply of love within us but it is well that that needs to be poured out for the love to flow. Look at all the qualities you want in your dream partner and BECOME them yourself. If you want to attract someone who is kind and caring, become kind and caring yourself. If you want to attract someone who is generous and giving then BE generous and giving yourself. 6. I Am Enough One of the greatest fears we have is that we are not enough and that we won’t be loved. This universal fear stems from the fact that we are so dependent on our parents when we are born. We NEED love just to survive. As we grow up love becomes conditional and in many parent-child relationships love becomes a bargaining tool. Do X and you get love. Do Y and the love will be removed. This leads to the fear and the belief that you are not enough. You are not smart enough,not pretty enough, not rich enough…and the list goes on. Everybody has to deal with this. The best way to deal with it is to love yourself. Loving yourself is not an act of vanity but a profound act of loving the magnificence of God that is the real you. You're always with yourself, so you might as well enjoy the company. - Diane Von Furstenberg Talk to yourself.Tell yourself how much you love yourself. Talk to yourself as you would to someone you love deeply. Compliment yourself. Look yourself in the eyes and say “I love you {and your name}”. The more you love yourself the more you will lose this nagging fear that you are not enough. The more you love yourself and remove any and all criticism you have of your Self the more love can flow in your life. Everybody has “flaws” but being fixated on your flaws and using them as a shield to prevent yourself from loving yourself is the real flaw. How Do You Ask The Universe For A Specific Person? One question that comes up often is whether you can ask the universe for a specific person. It usually comes up for people who are still in love with an exor someone who is in love with someone who is not in love with them. The golden rule in the universe is that you can not create in someone else’s reality. While you can not create in someone else’s reality, you should not even try to interfere in any way. It certainly is possible that you can manifest things that can affect another but trying to use the law of attraction to manipulate another person will violate their right and their will. Trying to attract a specific person comes with a number of problems. The first is YOUR assumption that you know what is best for them and for you. It is easy to get fixated on a specific person. The reality is that when you truly open yourself up to love the universe will attract to you someone even more “perfect” than you can possibly imagine. Asking for a specific person is not necessarily the best way to ask the universe for love. If you are convinced that a specific person is “right for you” then there is a way to ask. How do you ask the universe for a specific person? Hold this person in your thoughts, see the two of you together, happy and in love. Build this image into your mind and dwell on the image as often as you can. That sets the intention and creates the energy that does the asking to the universe. I would also suggest you say a little prayer as well: If this person is right for my highest good and our relationship will bring only peace, love and joy for both of us.
