The 80/20 Rule in Law of Attraction

80/20 rule law of attraction

The 80/20 rule in law of attraction is quite different from the more general approach to this rule. Commonly, Pareto’s Principle is about focusing on the most efficient tasks and actions that produce the real results.

Manifesting is rarely about the actions you take. Most people seem consumed with manifestation techniques and methods and everybody just wants to know WHAT to do.

For the most part, it is the wrong p[lace to focus your efforts on.

Having a clear intention, being relaxed, at peace and following your own bliss is what will allow you to manifest 100 times faster than trying hard.

We’ve all had times when we, perhaps accidentally, manifested something with great ease. Almost as if you did not even have to try hard or do much.

That is what the manifestation process is really about.

That is what I want to help you learn by using the 80/20 rules in manifesting.

What Is The 80/20 Rule?

In the 1890’s the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto made an interesting observation. He first noticed that 80% of all the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population.

When he extended his research beyond the borders of Italy, he found that this ratio of 80 to 20 remained more or less consistent elsewhere.

When he broadened his research he soon found out that 20% of the population earned 80% of all the money.

This Pareto Principle has since become known as the 80/20 rule and extends to almost any area of life.

The basic conclusion from this rule is that 80% of your results come from only 20% of your effort.

In modern success literature this idea has gained a renewed interest with so-called success hacking.

If only 20% of what you do gets you 80% of your results then there is an awful lot of wasted time and effort, right?

How Does It Relate To The Law of Attraction?

The 80/20 rule in law of attraction relates directly to this on many different levels.

We tend to ‘try really hard’ to manifest something.

We tend to focus on methods, techniques and strategies that will ‘make something manifest’.

We tend to think that it is what we ‘do’ that causes our desires to manifest.

In the end, none of these efforts are directly responsible for what you manifest through the law of attraction.

The law of attraction states that whatever you place your energy and your attention on MOST OF THE TIME is what will be attracted into your life experience.

It also states that what you focus on with the greatest emotion (orintensity) is what will manifest.

So between your attention and your emotional intensity lies the ‘engine’ that determines what you will attract into your life through the law of attraction.

The 20% That Manifests Your 80%

pareto principle

So-called ‘growth hacking’ or ‘success hacking’ is all about focusing ONLY only the 20% that creates the 80% of your results.

WHAT moves the needle is often the hardest part.

Most of us use the tactic of trial and error.

We try a lot of things and then simply notice what is or isn’t working. When it comes to the law of attraction, it’s not that simple though.

It’s not just your dominant thoughts that manifest.

Its a complex web of thoughts, emotions and consciousness that dictate your vibration and what you end up vibrating in harmony with.

There are 3 simple but often overlooked law of attraction ideas that will help you tap into the 80/20 rule…

3 Principles to Use the 80/20 Rule with Law of Attraction

So, what then are the 20% of things that we should focus on if you we want to start honing in on those 80% of results?

There are no real specifics as you will see but rather 3 main ideas I want to present. These are simple but not necessarily easy.

This is because most of us have learned that ‘hard work’ and effort is how we create success in whatever shape of form we think that may be.

The law of attraction has taken ‘success literature’ by storm. The idea of just thinking about something and achieving results has truly put a new spin on the old ideas of hard work and sacrifice.

In reality, its never been about the hard work. Its never been about the sacrifice.

When you start thinking of everything in terms of energy then you can start seeing past the beliefs that hold most people back from achieving and manifesting what they want most in life.

Here are 3 principles to help you use the 80/20 rule in law of attraction…

1. Do Less Manifest More

Much of the theories around using the Pareto Principle in self-help and personal development revolves around being more efficient.

If only 20% of your efforts create 80% of your results then it goes without saying that you waste a lot of time and effort on the WRONG actions.

Using the 80/20 rule in law of attraction is very different.

In fact, the biggest mistake that most people make with the law of attraction is that they try too hard.

Action is not what manifests.

Trying harder almost always has the opposite effect.

The idea of ‘letting go and letting God’ sounds great but very few people truly surrender and allow the universe to take over.

It is important to fully understand your role in the manifestation process. It is NOT your job to ‘make it happen’.

It’s a tough thing because most people feel like they want to be in control and they want to feel like they are actually DOING something to improve those aspects of their life that they feel needs improvement.

Less is more.

You need to shift your consciousness and snap out of this idea that hard work and trying harder will produce more, better or faster results.

Focus all your ‘actions’ and efforts not on what you DO in the outside world but on what you do INSIDE.

Abraham (Ester Hicks) suggested that 15 minutes of mental (inner) work is the equivalent of one whole day of physical work.

It’s easy to get caught up in what you think you ‘have to’ DO to manifest your desires. With affirmations, vision boards, visualization, focus wheels, meditation etc it can become a long list of chores to do daily.

This can become overwhelming.

This too falls into the 80/20 rule because most of these manifestation practices are just things you do because you think you ‘have to’ do them.

Always remember that less is more. The reason why that is more effective is because of the next two ideas…

2. More Joy

When you try and do too much it rarely produces joy. In fact, it almost always causes more stress and anxiety.

If you consider the law of attraction from the point of view of your vibration then nothing good can manifest from these stressful and anxious states.

When you are relaxed, when you feel joy and inner peace then you are not only more open and receptive but you dissolve our resistance.

Joseph Campbell’s famous words ‘follow your bliss’ is probably the most important compass that you can use in your life.

When you follow your bliss – your inner guidance on what gives you joy and a sense of peace and fulfillment then you can never make any ‘wrong’ moves.

If you really sit down and think about everything that causes you stress or anxiety then it is because you are doing things that move you away from your bliss.

This not about abandoning your responsibilities or only living for pleasure.

Joy is a way of being in this world.

When you live in the vibration of joy you can not help but attract more good into your life.

As far as the 80/20 rule in law of attraction, doing what brings you joy is the 20% that will result in 80% of your manifestations.

3. Less Resistance

For me the 80/20 in rule law of attraction is all about following the path of least resistance. Resistance can be seen as all those thoughts, actions and emotions that are not in alignment with what you really want to attract and manifest.

You want to manifest more abundance but you are consumed with the fear of not having enough money.

You want to attract your soulmate but you are consumed by the fear of being alone forever.

Every thought you have that is not aligned with what you ultimately want to manifest will create resistance.

It is like a wall that goes up and prevents anything related to your desire from actually being attracted to you.

The path of least resistance is not about being lazy. It is about being efficient.

This is not efficiency in the productive sense of the word but rather being efficient in what you allow to manifest in your life.

When you stop trying too hard and you stop trying to make things happen then you become receptive to inspired action.

Inspired action comes as a strong hunch or an intuitive push.

It feels easy.

It feels joyful and it is ultimately the ONLY actions you really need to take to manifest anything you desire.

If you ONLY follow the 20% of actions that are inspired actions then the other 80% of things you do because you think that is what you should do can be left aside.

This will not only remove a lot of the stress and exhaustion from your life but it actually removes the resistant thoughts that often stem from being stressed, tired and worried.

The 80 20 Rule in Relationships

The 80 20 Rule in Relationships

The 80/20 rule is a principle that states that most results in life come from 20% of the effort. It also suggests that 20% of your efforts will produce 80% of your results.

When we apply this 80 20 rule in relationships logically then 20% of what we put into a relationship will produce 80% of the ‘results’ in the relationship.

This is a very shallow interpretation however and almost impossible to pinpoint.

What exactly is that 20% in relationships?

I strongly believe that the 80 20 rule in relationships is all about what you do for yourself.

This idea that someone else is your ‘other half’ is a romantic idea that has no real use in reality. When you put 2 half people together you have 1 dysfunctional relationship.

When you put 2 whole people together you have a synergy where the sum is bigger than the total.

This idea can be applied to the law of attraction in a very powerful way.

When you truly look after yourself and you are whole, happy and at peace then you will manifest a beautiful relationship without trying and without having to constantly ‘work on’ the relationship.

You don’t manifest what you want. You manifest what you ARE.

If you are empty and you rely on someone else to fill you up you will always be needed and constantly feel like you need a crutch in life.
